Video game adaptations in the form of movies and television shows are usually not good, let’s just be honest. Big studios attempt to make money by banking off of a popular video game franchise by bringing the story/characters to the big screen, but as gamers, we know that video game movies suck. But, since the release of the Netflix animated series based off of Konami’s Castlevania franchise, we can rest easy this time around, because the first season was very, very good, and we just got the news that the second season now has a premiere date, and it’s going to have an eight-episode arc instead of the first season’s four.
Raise hell. Season 2 is a bloody nightmare. Join our awakening October 26, only on Netflix. pic.twitter.com/gtXU0iP2VA

The animated series is heavily focused on the events that take place during Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, which follows Trevor Belmont protecting the nation from the wickedness that is Dracula and his goons. If you have not played any of the games in the Castlevania series, don’t fret, the creators of the series have done a stand-up job at making the show very accessible to people who are not familiar with the long-running gothic video game franchise. I would wait for the second season to air before starting up the first season if I were you, simply because the four episode-arc is just way too short, and you will want to immediately watch more.
All eight episodes of season 2 of Netflix’s Castlevania series will air on October 26 – the perfect timing considering Halloween is right around the corner from that premiere date.
How excited are you guys for season 2 to come to Netflix this year? Do you think you will be watching all of the episodes in one day like us? Let us know how you feel in the comments section below! We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
