It Has Never Been Easier to Make Games on PlayStation Than It Is On PS5

When you’re playing a game on PlayStation, now and again you might think about just how many challenges the developers had to overcome to bring it to you. Have you ever wondered how much more amazing your games could be if they were less challenging to make? According to some new comments from former SIE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, it is now easier than ever to make games on PlayStation with the PS5.

What Yoshida Said About How Easy it is to Make Games on PlayStation 5

Since departing his position as president, Yoshida has become the Head of Independent Developer Initiative at Sony. In an interview in Dengeki PlayStation magazine, Vol.683, he was reported to have said, “The PS3 era was one of the toughest times in SIE’s 25-year history. The difficulty in developing games was noticeable.” And now, with the PS5, “[The ease] of making software [for the PS5] is at a level never [seen before] … If the difficulty of hardware becomes the hurdle to overcome, concentrate on making games. Anyway, hardware makes it easier to create games so you can spend more time creating games.” In comparison to the PS4, he said that development is “similar to PS4, but PS5 is ahead.”
