War in the Pacific, the fifth Chapter of Battlefield 5’s Tides of War, is now fully underway. The new content release has brought new weapons, new vehicles, and two new maps to the game so far, with another map on the way. Now, DICE has also released two new Battlefield 5 Elites; each themed around the Pacific Theatre. In the case of the Allied forces, they get access to the imposing character of Jack Culver.
Battlefield 5 Elites – Jack Culver
“The unflinching Jack is as dangerous behind a mounted machine gun as with his Escape Axe,” explains DICE; “Jack completed a dozen missions in the European theatre before being reassigned to the Pacific. Always first to volunteer, he has an ability to push squadmates through what they consider impossible situations and is infamous for expending excess ammunition and explosives.”
If you’re unfamiliar with Battlefield 5 Elites, they are, for all intents and purposes, unique cosmetic packages. They don’t provide any sort of tangible in-game benefit, of course. Rather, each comes with a unique Elite Outfit depicting a certain named character, along with unique voice lines, and their own Best Squad animation. Furthermore, each Elite also has a signature melee weapon which players can unlock for them. In the case of Jack Culver, that signature weapon is his Escape Axe.
Jack Culver is now available for the Allies and can be used in all multiplayer modes, including Firestorm, once players acquire him. Previous Allied Elites have included characters like Norman Kingsley and Hanna Delacroix. Elites are always released in pairs, however, and Jack Culver’s Axis counterpart is Keisuke Nakamura, a Japanese commander. The pair’s release also coincides with the start of War in the Pacific’s fourth weekly challenge; an event which gives players the chance to unlock a new Barbed Baseball Bat weapon.
