New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC Trailer Released

With just a few days to go before the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Activision has released a brand-new Modern Warfare PC trailer. Unlike the launch trailer, this new video actually includes some new footage, both of gameplay and cutscene content. Activision appears to be emphasising the game’s PC release more heavily than they’ve done for past releases, perhaps anticipating stronger sales performance there with the addition of cross-play to the franchise.

The New Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC Trailer

The newly-released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare PC trailer is much like those which have come before; a couple of minutes of cut-together gameplay and cutscene snippets which don’t reveal much new information. However, in this case, the trailer actually does hint at the game’s story campaign; certain voice lines taken from cutscenes and campaign gameplay give fans a few teasers of what the story will incorporate. Of course, most of it still remains under wraps.

One thing to note about the trailer is that it does seem to put the game’s visuals to the fore; no doubt an attempt to show PC users the sort of graphical quality they can expect. The Modern Warfare PC specifications were recently released, after all, and while the game can be played with relatively modest hardware, the upper-limit of its graphical quality is very high indeed. If you have the hardware to enable it, Modern Warfare includes ray tracing, NVIDIA Adaptive Shading, and other high-end graphics options. It also includes NVIDIA Ansel and Highlights, two tools for taking high-quality screenshots and video clips, respectively.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare PC Trailer Released 2

All that will be available for PC gamers in less than a week’s time, when Modern Warfare launches on the 25th of October. Between now and then, Activision is likely to continue with their last-minute promotional efforts; new trailers, pre-release information, and so on.
