How cool is it to see a battle royale video game in which you can respawn? Is that even appropriate for the genre? Whether you’re pro or con, you’ll be able to test it out in Call of Duty. A new Black Ops 4 Blackout mode is now available, letting you respaw into the game but with a catch. In order to do so, at least one member of your squad must be alive at the end of the Collapse. This sounds interesting.
The Down but not Out Black Ops 4 Blackout mode is now available on Playstation 4. In the next days, you’ll also be able to opt in on Xbox One and PC. As for its duration, the event will run until January 30th. The mode intends to focus more on getting the hangs of its gameplay, rather than aimlessly join games and die. If you’ve been struggling with battle royale games, this might be your chance to sharpen your skills.
Basically, what is happening in the new Black Ops 4 Blackout mode is simple. It is only available for squads and dying is not the end for your teammates. At the end of each Collapse, all fallen teammates will get respawned. That’s at least what happens if a teammate is already alive. If all of you fall, then it’s GG.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 isn’t the only game we’ve seen this happening in though. Fortnite has a similar event as well called Team Rumble. Such an event can provide better gameplay for new players that don’t know how to navigate easily. This is the best time for such mode to drop, since Blackout is free for a few days, giving gamers the opportunity to join the game with a little extra. You have until January 30th to test out the limited time mode in Blackout. Have fun!
