The design of Call of Duty: Mobile endeavours to bring together some of the best elements from Black Ops, Modern Warfare, and the other Call of Duty series into a single experience. However, one thing that it hasn’t had until now is a Zombies mode; something which, for many years, has been synonymous with the Call of Duty brand. That has now changed, however, thanks to the latest update, which finally implemented a Call of Duty: Mobile Zombies mode to the mobile title. However, it will only be available for a limited time.
The New Call of Duty: Mobile Zombies Mode
Call of Duty: Mobile’s second Season launched earlier today, and as part of the Season 2 update, the first mobile title in the Call of Duty franchise is getting its own version of Zombies. The Call of Duty: Zombies mode actually breaks down into two different modes of its own; Raid and Endless Survival. Raid Mode is similar to how Zombies has featured in previous Call of Duty titles; up to four players work together to explore the map while battling waves of zombies. The map may actually be familiar to Call of Duty veterans, as it’s a recreation of the Shi No Numa map from Call of Duty: World at War.
Raid Mode features a traditional point system which players can spend to buy weapons and unlock doors. You earn points by killing zombies and by boarding up windows. The mode features distinct rounds, with an 8-round limit on Normal difficulty and a 12-round limit on Hardcore. There is also an Abomination which functions as a final boss, which the players must face on the 8th/12th round, depending on the difficulty. The mode features its own exclusive loot, and players can also piece together the map’s story via clues which are scattered around the area.
The Endless Survival mode, on the other hand, is more focused on combat than exploration. This classic mode is an endless, wave-based mode which is otherwise identical to Raid save that it doesn’t have a round limit or a boss-fight. This mode will feature leaderboards for players who can survive for the longest amount of time.
