It’s the fifth week of Fortnite’s season seven and one of the challenges from current week tasks players with eliminating opponents using suppressed weapons. The only available weapon options for the accomplishment of this task are suppressed AR and Pistol. But that might change soon because data miners have revealed that another suppressed weapon will be added to Fortnite soon.
New Suppressed Sniper Rifle In Fortnite
Fortnite leaker Lucas7Yoshi has revealed some data regarding a new Sniper Rifle. Although the addition of this weapon has been rumored for a long time, this is the first time that a data miner has got their hands on files related to the new item. This new weapon will come in two rarities and its leaked stats are given below:
Suppressed Sniper Rifle
1 bullet per magazine
Epic:
Damage 100
Reload Time: 2.85
Legendary:
Damage: 105
Reload Time: 2.7
Headshot multiplier: 2.5 (possibly)
Compared to Heavy Sniper Rifle and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, the new Sniper Rifle deals less damage but compensates for it with quick reload time. Still, body shots with both variants can completely deplete HP in just one shot. If the headshot multiplier remains 2.5 at the time of the official release of this weapon, then players can effortlessly eliminate opponents, with full shield and health, with just one headshot.

In any case, the Silenced Sniper Rifle is definitely going to be a better choice as compared to the other two versions. Not only does it deal (almost) the same amount of damage, it gives players an edge by not revealing their location, plus the quick reload time almost makes it overpowered. Players can expect the weapon to get nerfed days after its release because its stats are somewhat unbalanced. Currently, there is no news about the addition of this weapon to the game. For now, players should stick to using the Suppressed Pistol and AR for the completion of this week’s challenge.
