New Madden 20 Heavyweights, Title Update, & Extended House Rules Arrive for Game

Wednesday morning brought two brand new Madden 20 Heavyweights into Ultimate Team. In addition, the Madden developers have released a small but useful title update to apply to the game and announced upcoming server maintenance. Due to the latter, the popular House Rules mode is getting an extension for some extra time to play. Here are the latest details on the EA Madden news.

Madden 20 Heavyweights: Kyle Juszczyk, Sheldon Rankins

Earlier on the “Good Morning Madden” Twitch stream, they showed off the newest Madden 20 Heavyweights. These are players from the front lines with some size to them that are often those unsung heroes. For Wednesday, September 25, they brought another fullback to the Ultimate Team promotion with an 89 OVR for the 49ers’ Kyle Juszczyk. He’s the best FB in the program now, as previously-released Ravens FB Patrick Ricard brought an 86 OVR.

In addition, there’s New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins who brings 89 Play Recognition, 86 Strength and 86 Power Moves to the front for the needed help on MUT rosters.

Both players are now available in Madden 20 Ultimate Team Store through the Training Currency tab. The packs currently sell for 2,470 each, so check out our guide for how to get Training in Madden 20 if you’re looking to boost yours. Another option is to buy either or both players in the Auction Browser using Coins.

As of this report, Juszczyk is going for around 249,600 Coins on Buy Now, while Rankins is starting at 141,000 Coins. See our guide for how to get Madden 20 Coins to boost your bankroll in the game.

New September update, server maintenance revealed

In addition to the Madden 20 Heavyweights, a very small September 2019 Madden title update was also revealed. It includes just one fix but will take a short bit of time for gamers to download and install. Based on EA developer notes, this latest update resolves a hit-stick tackle problem they noticed that occurred after the larger update last week. Per Wednesday’s notes:

An unintended side-effect of these updates was that the window for landing a hit-stick against a ball carrier during a special move was tightened up so much that it would often result in a hit-stick attempt transitioning to a conservative tackle, and therefore not receive the boost of the Enforcer ability leading to broken tackles.

They go on to mention, “We’ve resolved this by ensuring Enforcer hit-sticks will have a consistent window regardless of the ball-carrier’s actions. As a result, Enforcers will not allow broken hit-sticks when successfully landing one.”

In addition to that small title update, they also announced a server maintenance update scheduled for 3 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday which could affect various online activities including Ultimate Team and other events. Make sure to plan accordingly and not get stuck in a “Did Not Finish” type situation for an online game.

However, they also revealed they will be extending House Rules for another day, per the tweet below.
