It was a busy day in the world of Madden 20 on Tuesday as they unveiled a number of new items. First and foremost, they revealed a brand new Madden 20 title update which brought a number of important fixes and additions to the game. Those included new Superstar Abilities for specific players, gameplay tweaks, and more. In addition to that, they launched a brand new Madden 20 House Rules event called Loss of Down. Here’s how it works and what rewards are available.
How to play new Madden 20 House Rules
The Madden 20 House Rules is a special event that takes place weekly within the game where the rules of the game have changed. For example, sometimes touchdowns are worth more or fewer points than in a real game. Last week was a Traditional College OT situation. In this week’s House Rules, they’ve got something called “Loss of Down.”
First and foremost, the House Rules is a head-to-head event against other players. For Loss of Down, it will mean that you’ve lost one of your four downs. Instead of four downs, you only have three downs to get to a first down. Oh, and by the way, you’re also starting at 1st and 20 for this.
In addition to that, any defensive touchdowns you can score are worth 15 points rather than the standard seven points. So keep that in mind when playing in the head-to-head matchups. As evidence that defensive TDs really can happen here, Madden shared the following video from an Xbox gamer.
What are the Loss of Down event rewards?
While it’s fun in and of itself to play the Madden 20 House Rules, the best part is the rewards you can earn. For this week’s Loss of Down, you get different rewards based on how many wins you can achieve. You can earn Coins, Trophies, and special player or team items through the event.
For one win, you’ll earn 1,000 Coins. Three wins will get 20 Trophies. Six wins will bring 2,000 Coins and 20 Trophies. A total of 18 wins brings 20,000 Coins and 60 Trophies, while 24 Coins brings you 28,000 Coins and 80 Trophies. Also, 12 total wins will net a Top NAT Theme Diamond and Set Component Fantasy Pack.
