The new Fallout 76 photo mode, a first for such a feature in a Bethesda game, has quickly become one of the best-loved features in the game among players. In fact, the mode is so appreciated that one modder has set out to add the feature to Fallout 4 as well. The mod is currently a work-in-progress, but you can already see it taking promising shape.
The Fallout 76 Photo Mode Comes to Fallout 4
The Fallout 4 Photo Mode mod is being put together by a modder who goes by “registrator2000”; when it is finished, it will be available to download on NexusMods. As you can see from the preview images and video released by registrator2000; the mod will function very similarly to the Fallout 76 photo mode; the photo mode menu appears with nearly identical options, though it appears with Fallout 4’s iconic green UI display.
The short video released by the modder showcases the mod photo mode in action in what is presumably one of the modders’ bases in Fallout 4. The video shows several of the mode settings in action, though it doesn’t show what it will look like from a third person perspective. However, this view is shown in accompanying screenshots released for the mod. With the apparent popularity of the Fallout 76 photo mode feature, it seems likely that this mod will be a hit when it releases for Fallout 4.
At present, it’s unknown when this upcoming mod will be ready for gamers to download. However, it looks as though progress is being made very quickly. Hopefully it comes quickly, and fans can put it to use documenting their Fallout 4 experiences for posterity. It seems likely that there will remain an active modding community for Fallout 4 for quite some time; Bethesda has said that private servers and mod support may not come for another year in Fallout 76. That hasn’t stopped some modders from making mods for the game, although they run a serious risk of being banned.
