As Season 3 continues in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward has launched a new batch of store bundles which add both new cosmetics and, more notably, a brand-new Operator; one of three set to release during the season. Ronin is the second new Operator to arrive in Season 3, following Alex’s release at the start of the season. (Not counting the new Mil-Sim Operator options.)
The Latest Releases for Modern Warfare Season 3
The latest Modern Warfare Operator to join the playable roster is Ronin, described by Infinity Ward as a ‘one-man army’; “An ex-Special Forces Operative and master of multiple fighting systems, you’ll want Ronin on your side when you head into battle”. Unlike Alex, who is available through the Season 3 Battle Pass, Ronin is only available in a new Operator Bundle in the in-game store. This is the same way which Infinity Ward launched new Operators in the last season; launching one with the Battle Pass and subsequent ones in separate store bundles.
In addition to Ronin, Infinity Ward has launched two new weapon bundles which are usable in both Modern Warfare and Warzone; “Fool’s Gold II” and “Toxic Ooze”. Both bundles feature Legendary weapon blueprints. The first, available in Fool’s Gold II, is ‘Deep Pockets,’ while Toxic Ooze includes the ‘Sludge’ assault rifle blueprint. Of course, both bundles also include Epic weapon bluepints, emblems, and calling cards, while Fool’s Gold II also includes a Spray.
Alongside new store releases, Infinity Ward is bringing back a few older game modes this week as they update playlists. Cranked is back, for example, as is Gunfight Trios, now featuring a 16-team tournament bracket. Plus, the new Cabin Fever moshpit is a playlist featuring a variety of 6v6 multiplayer modes. This playlist includes the Hackney Yard, Hideout, Rust, Shipment, and Shoot House maps. All of these new playlists or modes are either available already or will be launching in the next few days.
