It broke our hearts to hear that the newest One Piece game from Bandai Namco was in fact delayed until 2019. Fortunately, that just means this new One Piece World Seeker trailer will soften the blow for us. Because hey, at least we have something new to watch over and over until a release date is officially confirmed, right?
In all seriousness, this new trailer of One Piece World Seeker allows us to see into the political circumstances of Jewel island, where people are divided into two factions. Pro-Navy are residents who approve of modern technology, and how it is improving the island and its resources. Anti-Navy, however, are those individuals who reject that sort of thinking, and instead long for the tradition of what the world was before.
So, how does Jeanne fit into all this? Jeanne is the leader of those who is Anti-Navy, whereas Isaac, the Warden of Prison Island jail, believes that what the Navy does is necessary in order to survive. Luffy, as Luffy is want to do, ends up in the middle of the two of them. Whether he’ll be on the side of Jeanne or Isaac is yet to be confirmed, but thankfully a trailer released by Bandai Namco may give us a hint on which person Luffy will be helping this time around.
Check out the new trailer from the Tokyo Game Show and see for yourself what new, exciting (and surprisingly political) adventures await you, Luffy and friends in the year 2019.
Of course, if you’re more invested in getting new One Piece content (either in this game or through Jump Force) straight away, then keep your eyes peeled to VGR as more information comes out of EGX 2018 and the Tokyo Game Show 2018. Keep your fingers crossed, One Piece fans – there’s more to come!
