Brand new Tales of Crestoria information has been revealed, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what Bandai Namco has in store for the newest, upcoming Tales game. It may not have been the news that fans wanted, but that doesn’t mean we’re not eager all the same to see where Tales of Crestoria will be taking us.
Thanks to Famitsu (via Gematsu) we now have some inkling on where that will be. In an interview with God Eater’s producer Yusuke Tomizawa, he spoke out about what to expect from Tales of Crestoria and answered the question whether it would be connected to Mothership titles, such as Tales of Berseria, Abyss, etc.
“Tales of Crestoria has no direct connection to [other Tales of titles]. It will have a completely new story that is a clear distinction from an ‘all-stars game’,” he said, referring to games such as Tales of the Rays. But what was really fascinating was Tomizawa-san stating that the new mobile game will also “serve as an entry point to the series.”
Despite fans expecting more information about the new Mothership title that was revealed during Tales of Festival this year rather than a new mobile title, Bandai Namco has given some incentive to players that may eventually lead to them to pre-registering anyway. If you’re looking to join in on the fun (whether you can speak Japanse or not) then, depending on how many people register, this is what you’ll possibly be able to access when Tales of Crestoria launches.
- 10,000 pre-registrations – Summoning Ticket x1
- 30,000 pre-registrations – Summoning Ticket x2 (for a total of three)
- 50,000 pre-registrations – Summoning Ticket x2 (for a total of five) + Twitter icons for everyone
- 100,000 pre-registrations – Summoning Ticket x2 (for a total of seven) + Twitter header images for everyone
- 200,000 pre-registrations – Summoning Ticket x3 (for a total of 10) + PC and smartphone wallpapers for everyone
