New Witcher and Fruit Ninja Crossover Video Features Geralt’s Mo-Cap Actor

A new video has been released online featuring a crossover between The Witcher and Fruit Ninja, of all things. The video, entitled “Fruit Witcher”, guest stars Maciej Kwiatkowski; the motion-capture actor who portrayed Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher games.

The New Witcher Crossover Video With Fruit Ninja

“Fruit Witcher” was released by a YouTube channel by the name of The Sword’s Path. The channel has uploaded several videos featuring sword-based combat styles inspired by The Witcher. While witchers are generally associated with cleaving their way through packs of drowners or foglets, this video pits two swordsmen against a vicious fruit attack. In the style of the classic game Fruit Ninja, the fighters are bombarded with apples and watermelons, which they attempt to deflect or cut through.

The video features Alan Padzinski; a professional armorer and HEMA instructor, clad in garb resembling that of the Witcher School of the Bear. It also guest stars Maciej Kwiatkowski. While Kwiatkowski is best known for being Geralt of Rivia’s mo-cap actor; he appears here in attire more befitting a member of the School of the Cat, rather than the Wolf. Although there are no striga or griffins here; the pair do showcase their skills against the fruit-based assault, leaving plenty of their “foes” in pieces.

Maciej Kwiatkowski Portrayed Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Games

This isn’t the only Witcher crossover which has emerged of late. An artist recently released fan art of Geralt of Rivia in the style of animated films like Brave and How to Train Your Dragon. It has been a few years now since the release of the last Witcher game, and with Cyberpunk 2077 next to come from CD Projekt Red; it could be some time before fans get to see another Witcher title. Although, the studio did recently suggest that they might consider another Witcher game, though it wouldn’t be a follow-up to The Witcher III.
