Call of Duty players have discovered a new Black Ops 4 bug that is rather weird and annoying. The glitch essentially causes the affected player to switch their equipped weapon and/or class in the middle of the match without warning. This isn’t when they die, either, as it actually happens while still alive and kicking. This is quite frustrating when a player expects to be using one gun and then suddenly has another.
The Black Ops 4 bug was recently discovered (courtesy of CharlieIntel) by professional COD player and Twitch partner Turnup2ez. Turnup posted a video on Twitter showing off the glitch in action. Apparently, the glitch occurred when he attempted to pull himself over a structure on the map Gridlock. While it certainly could be a fakeout, Turnup2ez isn’t the only player to notice this bug.
Black Ops 4 Weapon Switching Bug Explained
Another streamer, Xposed tK, discovered the same Black Ops 4 bug as well. When also jumping on a specific structure, Xposed found himself with a different gun than he just had equipped beforehand. This bug happens in the middle of the round and not when the player dies, making it even more bizarre and odd.
However, the weirdness of it all doesn’t end there. There is actually a lot in common with both situations that happened to Turnup and Xposed. In the case of both of them, they were each on the same map of Gridlock. As of right now, we have yet to see the Black Ops 4 bug happen on a different one. The similarities don’t end there, though.
Of course, both players are seen jumping over a specific structure, which also has something to do with it. Finally, both players had the SAUG 9mm equipped before it was switched to a new weapon. Interestingly enough, the new weapon isn’t the same for both players. Regardless, this is one bug added to the list that Treyarch will need to fix in the future.
