If you’ve been searching for Eevee nests for the popular Pokemon mobile game, so that you can complete all the possible evolutions of the popular pokemon, then Niantic has you set. The next Pokemon GO Community Event will include Eevee and it will be taking place in 2 different days. Here’s everything you need to know about the event and Eevee evolutions.
August’s Community Day will last for entire weekend, with three hour blocks starting at 2 PM ET on both Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. This time, the event won’t be just one day given the fact that Eevee has 5 different evolutions and not three stages of evolving like the previous ones.
Eevee can evolve to 5 different types of Pokemon: Fire, Water, Lighning, Dark and Psychic. If you just hit evolve on your selected Eevee, the game will randomly choose one element to evolve too, however, there’s a workaround that. If you rename your eevee to a specific element’s “codename”, you’ll get this evolution in particular. Here are the codenames, as reported by Eurogamer:
- Rename Eevee as Sakura to evolve into Psychic-type Espeon
- Rename Eevee as Tamao to evolve into Dark-type Umbreon
- Rename Eevee as Rainer to evolve into water type Vaporeon
- Rename Eevee as Sparky to evolve into lightning type Jolteon
- Rename Eevee as Pyro to evolve into fire type Flareon
There’s no information as to how you’ll be able to achieve the Leafeon and Glaceon evolutions when generation 4 hits Pokemon GO. For Espeon and Umbreon, there’s another confirmed way to achieve their evolutions:
- The Eevee must have 10 KMs walked and 2 Candy collected as your Buddy
- The Eevee must be set as your current Buddy during evolution
- Evolving This Pokemon at Night-Time will result in the Umbreon DARK Evolution
- Evolving This Pokemon during Day-Time will result in the Espeon PSYCHIC Evolution
What you have to be careful about while using those codes is that it works for only one Pokemon per element. Make sure to choose your strongest IV and CP ones cause after that you don’t get a secong one. Take a look at all the evolutions and their shiny forms in this image by Silphroad:
Apart from the frequent Eevee encounters, the August Pokemon GO Community will include more perks for players that decide to get their training shoes and start walking. During the event times, players will receive triple the normal amount of Stardust for capturing Pokemon. Additionally, any Lure Modules that are activated will last for three hours, rather than their usual 30 minutes.
The previous Pokemon GO Community Event, for July, included Squirtle while in the past months we’ve seen all other 1 generation starter pokemon, Dratini, Larvitar and Mareep.
