NHL 20 All-Star Game Results: Which HUT Player Cards Will Get Ratings Boosts?

It’s a wrap for the NHL 20 All-Star Game from St. Louis, Missouri. During Saturday night’s annual contest, the Pacific Division skated away with the win over the Atlantic in a thrilling contest to close out the event. An MVP was named and there were also skills contest winners in the past several days. That means a number of NHL 20 player cards will receive boosts for the recent Hockey Ultimate Team promotion.

NHL 20 All-Star Game winners and MVP

The NHL’s annual game features a tournament involving the four divisions’ teams of star players. In the semifinals from St. Louis, the Atlantic claimed a 9-5 victory over the Metropolitan Division and the Pacific knocked off the Central, 10-5. That set up a showdown between the two winners for the NHL 20 All-Star Game on Saturday night.

In the finale, it started to become a back-and-forth affair, with the teams tying things up late in the contest. Ultimately, the Pacific would claim a one-goal win 5-4 to get the prize money. All of the NHL 20 HUT cards for players on the winning team will receive additional synergy as a result of the win.

Another factor for HUT cards during the All-Star Game was scoring. A total of nine goals were scored between the two teams. For the Atlantic side, goals were scored by Tyler Bertuzzi, David Pastrnak, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Victor Hedman. On the Pacific side, Leon Draisaitl, Tomas Hertl, Max Pacioretty each scored once. Elias Petterson scored twice for his side.

All of the players who scored will receive a one-point OVR boost on their HUT All-Star cards for each goal they scored. In addition, the two goalies on the winning side, Calgary’s David Rittich and Jacob Markstrom, will each gain a two-point OVR boost for their HUT cards.

Despite being on the losing side of the contest, the Boston Bruins’ David Pastrnak was named NHL 20 All-Star Game MVP. That means his HUT All-Star card automatically moves up to a 95 overall rating for winning the honor. Based on the scoring criteria, it should go up another point to 96.

Skills contest winners’ HUT card boosts

In addition to the All-Star Game results, the Skills Contest results also play a factor in HUT card boosts. In a report on Friday night, we mentioned that goalie Jordan Binnington claimed the Save Streak competition while wearing an EA Team of the Year mask. For that, two of his ratings on his NHL 20 All-Star HUT card went up to 99 overall.

That’s the case for the other Skills contest winners with HUT items. According to Bleacher Report, the Fastest Skater was Mathew Barzal with a time of 13.175 seconds. Jaccob Slavin claimed the Accuracy Shooting competition in 9.505 seconds. Shea Weber won the Hardest Shot with a speed of 106.5 miles per hour, while Patrick Kane claimed the newest event called Shooting Stars.

Gamers who have any of the NHL 20 All-Star items for the players mentioned above should see these cards receive the ratings boosts soon within HUT mode on the game. There are also challenges available in Hockey Ultimate Team based on the annual All-Star event.
