NHL 20 Content Update, New Team of the Week Players Revealed
Some exciting news is arriving in the form of an NHL 20 update which was revealed on Wednesday. The newest update will bring a number of tweaks and fixes that should help gamers enjoy better overall gameplay and features. In addition to that, the new NHL 20 Team of the Week players were revealed in a teaser tweet. Here are the latest details on what’s new in the game.
NHL 20 Content Update revealed for Dec. 5
EA Sports NHL Community Manager Clappy posted a tweet on Wednesday to let everyone know an NHL 20 content update will arrive for the game on Thursday (Dec. 5). With that update will be some important changes for NHL 20 gameplay including adjustments to pivoting in games. In addition, Clappy noted there’s a Zone camera fix, and that the HUT abbreviations won’t display anymore before the puck drop.
While there are some welcome changes and fixes coming in the NHL 20 content update, the gaming community wants a few other things. One of those is roster sharing, something that is an ongoing request from many gamers.
The other is for the developers to fix the pass interceptions issues in the game. The good news is that EA Sports Producer/Designer Ben Ross chimed in about the interceptions issue and said they will “look at round out the grey areas of the model” in the game when it comes to that.

New Team of the Week features Alexander Ovechkin, Erik Karlsson
The new NHL 20 Team of the Week is now available for gamers who enjoy Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) mode. The latest installment features a stellar item featuring Stanley Cup champion Alex Ovechkin. The Capitals star has a 91 overall item to lead the way with 96 Skating, 93 Shooting, and 93 Checking. It’s no surprise to see one of the top-rated players in the game continuing to put on great performances this season.
Rightwing David Pastrnak is part of TOTW with a 91 OVR card. It includes 98 Skating, 91 Shooting, and 88 Defense. He’s one of two players with a 91 OVR, as defender Erik Karlsson joins the fun. Karlsson’s best ratings include 96 Skating, 95 Hands, and 91 Defense.
