Earlier today, Activision released the first official reveal trailer for “Call of Duty: Vanguard,” which appears to be a brand-new game. Very little is currently known about the upcoming project, but Activision will be holding a special reveal event later this week within Call of Duty: Warzone.
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Upcoming Reveal Event
Few concrete details are given away in the new reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard, which doesn’t feature are actual gameplay footage. However, the setting has been confirmed as the Second World War, which should be apparent from the montage of trailer footage. A full reveal is scheduled to take place later this week, at 10:30 AM PT on the 19th of August. However, this event will also be taking place entirely in Call of Duty: Warzone.
This reveal event is entitled “Battle of Verdansk”. However, exact details on what the event will include have yet to be revealed. However, Raven Software have revealed a few key features. Firstly, the event will include a brand-new weapon for the Verdansk map, as well as a new; “armoured vehicle”. An image teaser including these details has the directive; “Squad up and work together to take it down.”
Players who wish to take part in the event will need to be playing Warzone when the event begins. The global release times for the Battle of Verdansk are; 10:00 AM PT; 6:30 PM BST; 7:30 PM CEST; 1:30 PM EDT; 10:30 AM PDT. Given that the event will be taking place in only a few days’ time, it’s unlikely that Activision will release any additional details beforehand. Currently, it looks likely that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be the next major Call of Duty title. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now into its fifth season, after all, and that game was itself announced once Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had reached its fifth season.
