March 15th, 2019 is looking to be a great day. Why? Because that’s the One Piece World Seeker release date, meaning the ultimate day for all One Piece fans out there. As fans will remember, the game was originally pushed back to a 2019 release date, but it wasn’t confirmed whether it would be an early release or during the end of next year. Thankfully, a new trailer has answered that very question.
But it isn’t just any old trailer. While previous trailers have indicated more about the story of World Seeker, this one focuses more on Luffy. Luffy’s companions, such as Sanji, Jeanne and Nami, also make an appearance in this trailer, depicting their various roles in the game.
Thanks to this trailer, we’re now more hyped than ever to see what One Piece World Seeker has in store for us. You can catch the trailer, and all the information we know so far, below.
One Piece World Seeker Trailer: What We Know Now
One of the first things we saw in this trailer is how deep Bandai Namco have gone with Luffy’s abilities. Luffy is able to use his Gum Gum abilities to latch onto objects, and then swing around and fly. He’ll also be able to stay up in the air through the use of the Gum Gum fruit.
But what is most exciting is Luffy’s Gear Fourth ability. In Gear Fourth, Luffy is able to transform into Bound Man. With Bound Man, Luffy gains new abilities that involve him putting the kicking into ‘ass kicking’ into the various enemies of Prison Island. Seriously, watch the trailer and watch that buff man go.
Players were also introduced to Luffy’s ‘Haki’ variants. For example, when Luffy uses ‘Observational Haki’, he’ll able to slow down time, giving him an advantage against speedy enemies that aren’t afraid to beat you into the ground. On the other hand, Luffy’s arm ‘Haki’ is much slower, but can unleash devastating attacks against the enemy.
