The original Borderlands OST which accompanied the first game in the franchise, all the way back in 2009, is one of the most inconic soundtracks of its generation. Indeed, the music set the tone for the rest of the series, all the way to Borderlands 3. Now, a deluxe double LP of that classic original soundtrack, has been announced and is available for fans to pre-order. In fact, the LP includes 30 fully-remastered tracks.
The Deluxe Borderlands OST on Vinyl
Available from Laced Records, who have also released the various Borderlands 3 game & DLC soundtracks in the last year, there are two versions of the new LP. The first of the two is a “deluxe double vinyl” edition, available to pre-order for £33.00, which includes two 180g LPs. Together, these feature a total of 30 tracks from the original Borderlands OST, composed by Jesper Kyd, Raison Varner, Sascha Dikiciyan, Cris Velasco, and Tim Larkin. Of course, all of the tracks included on the LP have been remastered. Notably, these 30 tracks include certain bonus tracks which have never before been released in a physical format.
In addition to the standard “double deluxe vinyl” version, a limited-edition version is also currently available. This Limited Edition of the LP is the same price, but features pink vinyl discs which are unique to Laced Records. Of course, numbers of this edition are limited, so it is more likely to sell out quickly. Both versions of the vinyl soundtrack are available to pre-order now, and both have an estimated shipping date of “Late September 2020”.
