Path of Exile Expansion Harvest Revealed

You probably heard the other week that on June 2nd, Grinding Gear Games would announce the next expansion for Path of Exile. Indeed, they followed through, introducing us to the Path of Exile Expansion “Harvest.” What should you know about this upcoming addition to the game? Let’s explore what this innovative expansion to the world of PoE has to offer.

What to Expect from the Path of Exile Expansion Harvest

To get started, you can watch the official trailer for Harvest below:

Pretty cool, right? Harvest gives you a chance to do something pretty unexpected in the dark fantasy universe of Path of Exile: farm. But in this case, you’ll be planting and harvesting combat opportunities. It all starts when you encounter a randomly-generated Seed Cache. You can then talk to a new NPC named Oshabi to travel to the Sacred Grove. After you irrigate the Sacred Grove and plant your seeds, they will grow into monsters.

As you plant your seeds, you also will build Collectors. These allow you to harvest the Lifeforce of the monsters after they sprout for you to fight. After you successfully harvest the Lifeforce, you can use it for crafting to improve your items.

But that isn’t the only thing you can do with Lifeforce. You can also use the Lifeforce you gather from killing lower level seed monsters to help you grow higher level seeds that spawn higher level monsters. By the time you get to Tier 3 seeds, you’ll be fighting bosses. There also apparently will be Tier 4 seeds. But the developers aren’t revealing yet what those will be like.

So, through Harvest, you’ll get an opportunity to craft some impressive items. But the process will be more involved and personalized than what you may be used to. You’ll have a true sense of accomplishment tied to your item enhancements. Plus, the developers really worked hard to achieve the right balance of “city building,” combat and crafting. That way, this system will have something to offer everyone. So, how dedicated you get to building irrigation systems and expanding your monster farm is very much up to you.

Obviously the farming is the big addition with Harvest, but is it the only one? No. There are other modifications and improvements as well which you can look forward to. You’ll also want to check out the Passive Skill Tree, which will be a little different. Two-handed weapons are getting an adjustment as well. Additionally, along with the crafting enhancements you can look forward to, 12 brand-new items will be available. A new renderer should provide a quality of life improvement too, reducing annoying stuttering.

Need a Boost to Get the Most Out of Harvest?

If you want to get a running start with the Harvest season, PoE Boosting Services are available. Buy PoE Exalted Orbs or Chaos Orbs, or purchase a leveling package. That way, you can spend less time on tedious grinding and get right to enjoying all that Harvest has to offer. This is a great way to ensue that you are able to take on Tier 3 and Tier 4 monsters.

When can you play the Path of Exile Expansion Harvest? The expansion should go live on June 19th, 2020 on PC. Gamers on PS4 and Xbox One will need to wait until the week of June 22nd, 2020. Please note that these dates are not set in stone. With coronavirus to deal with, Grinding Gear Games could run into some snags. So, if there are any delays, try and be patient. We’ll all get to harvest monsters very soon!
