Patriots’ Tom Brady Joins Madden 19 Path To The Draft Heroes, Late Rounders
The New England Patriots’ Tom Brady has joined Madden 19 Path to the Draft promotion. On the heels of his sixth Lombardi trophy and ahead of the NFL Draft this month, Madden Ultimate Team has added one of the game’s greats. He’s been there before, but now he’s got a special new Masters card. In addition, he’s got help and there are three new Late Rounders Heroes to look for in the game.
Madden 19 Path to the Draft Tom Brady, New 98 Heroes Cards
When it comes to late-round NFL Draft picks, it’s hard to argue against the New England Patriots’ sixth-round choice in 2000. That was a quarterback named Tom Brady out of Michigan. He was unproven at that time which is why he went so late. However, over time he proved why the Patriots made a smart gamble. Six super bowls later, and he’s considered amongst the elite stars of the NFL.
In recognition of that greatness, Brady arrives as a Late Rounder Masters for Path to the Draft. A 99 OVR card is part of the deal as with previous Masters like Keyshawn Johnson and Cam Newton. It’s a good deal too, as Brady did fall just a bit in the 99 Club this past season and this MUT card is a power-up card. If you’ve got one of those recent Rob Gronkowski cards for his retirement you’ve got quite the QB to tight end pairing.
Brady is joined by three new Late Rounders Heroes, each with a 98 OVR. They are the Lions’ Rick Wagner, Dolphins’ Reshad Jones, and Falcons’ Grady Jarrett. Gamers can collect three of the 98 OVR Heroes player cards. In exchange, they’ll get back a 99 OVR Master and those three 98 OVR Heroes as NAT cards.
There are arguments over which QB is best to have on your MUT roster. That really depends on if you prefer a quarterback who does well in the pocket. If you want a scramble-type QB, maybe go for the Newton. Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson are two other options. However, if you want to upgrade to one of the best passing QBs in the game, make sure to go after those Heroes and get that Tom Brady!
Other Madden 19 Path to the Draft Late Rounders Helpers Cards
As part of the Daily Drop show on Twitch Friday (Apr. 5), the Madden Ultimate Team crew revealed several other new players as part of the “Late Rounders” theme. A total of eight NFL draft picks from the past are now available in the game. These players range from an 84 OVR to a 96 OVR. Check out the photo below for who all is included.
Standouts here include a 96 Trent Brown for the New England Patriots MUT rosters. There’s also a 94 OVR Tre Flowers (Seahawks), 92 OVR Jaylen Samuels (Steelers), and 90 Matt Milano (Bills). These new Madden 19 Path to the Draft player cards are available in Ultimate Team (MUT) packs. They’re also available (for a price) on the Ultimate Team marketplace.
