On Tuesday, Konami revealed that they have an exclusive PES 2020 Juventus partnership in place ahead of their new game’s release. That deal gives them the rights to the team and its players for Pro Evolution Soccer, allowing gamers to use the club in the upcoming title. To celebrate the moment, they released a special PES 2020 Juventus gameplay trailer and images from an introductory press conference.
PES 2020 Juventus gameplay trailer announces exclusive partnership
The best football club in Serie A is now part of Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer. The PES 2020 Juventus deal also makes the team exclusive as they are fully licensed for Konami’s title. As one might expect, this is a huge deal for Konami’s game as a direct competitor to EA’s FIFA 20. It gives PES star players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini, and others. Ronaldo was a featured star for the FIFA 19 game. However, he nows appears to be exclusively with Konami’s PES 2020.
To announce their exclusive deal, Konami released the following PES 2020 Juventus gameplay trailer. It’s already achieved over 400,000 views since it arrived, showcasing just how big this announcement is for the eFootball title.
With the official partnership, Juventus’ Miralem Panic becomes a PES Ambassador. Konami announced that starting with Panic, over 17 Juventus players will have their faces scanned into the PES game. Juventus legend Pavel Nedved will be the official Legend Player associated with the team. Nedved will be one of 11 Legend players that gamers can acquire in the game through PES Legend Agent.
Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer Twitter account shared a number of images of the players to celebrate their announcement.
In addition to the gameplay trailer and player screenshots, Konami revealed several images of Juventus’ stadium. Feast your eyes on Allianz Stadium Home Ground in the screenshots below.
Konami presents announcement at press conference
As it was a major announcement, Konami held a special press conference for the media about the Juventus deal. Recent PES League champion Usmakabyle was on hand to take on Juventus legend Mauro Camoranesi in a PES matchup.
The news of Juventus’ partnership with Konami comes after several other teams inked deals. In recent weeks, they announced Manchester United and Bayern Munchen are playable teams for an upcoming PES 2020 demo version. Juventus was the third and final of the “mystery teams” announced for a total of 13 teams in that demo.
They join the Barcelona club featured in the game’s original announcement trailer. All of those teams will be playable in the full game when it releases as well.
FIFA 20 is generally the more popular title in the football gaming world. However, it appears PES 2020 may have them on their heels this September.
The PES 2020 game featuring Juventus, Bayern Munchen, Manchester United, and more will arrive on September 10, 2019. The game is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, with a playable demo coming on July 30.
