When it comes to the world of competitive FIFA, it’s hard to argue against F2Tekkz as the best in the game right now. On Sunday, the gamer who has continued to set the bar for competitors claimed yet another win. This time around, F2Tekkz showed his elite level of play by winning the PGL FIFA 19 Masters Bucharest. Here’s a look at how Tekkz got it done at the qualifying event and in the Grand Final.
PGL FIFA 19 Masters Bucharest: Tekkz wins Xbox, FUTWIZ Tom wins PS4 side
In most of the major tournaments, there are two distinct sides of the event. On one side, the best-of-the-best gamers on the Xbox compete to determine a champion there. On the other side, the best-of-the-best PS4 gamers go at it to produce their champion. For the PGL FIFA 19 Masters Bucharest, it was FUTWIZ Tom showing his excellence on the PlayStation 4. He defeated star gamer NYC_Chris, 4-1.
In the Xbox final, F2Tekkz emerged as the winner, defeating SPQR RORIDGO12. It was a high-scoring contest as the two competitors scored a combined 13 goals with Tekkz winning, 8-5.
That would set up a battle between F2Tekkz and Rodrigo12 to determine the latest Masters champion. Tekkz would go on to build a lead that his opponent simply couldn’t recover from as the game moved into the late stages. When all was said and done, it was the phenomenon claiming yet another trophy, winning the matchup by a final of 5-2.
A video of highlights from the PGL Grand Final shows off exactly how Tekkz claimed yet another impressive victory this season.
On his way to eventually winning the Grand Final, Tekkz also defeated Night Watch, 4-3 in the Xbox Semifinal, and Vivi Kofolo, 4-2 in the Quarterfinals. FUTWIZ Tom had to battle past M10USTUN in the quarterfinals and Wolves Fifilza in the semifinal. Still, he couldn’t find an answer for the superstar F2Tekkz, winner of multiple FIFA competitive events this current season.
F2Tekkz tweets about win, what’s next for competitor
It’s been quite the season for Tekkz as he established himself as “G.O.A.T.” within competitive FIFA. Following his PGL FIFA 19 Masters win, Tekkz posted the following image and captioned it with a humble shout out to his opponent.
The big event spanned Saturday and Sunday. A total of 32 players competed at the FIFA 19 Masters Bucharest event with those players split between Xbox and PS4.
The win brought $10,000 to the champion, while second place took home $5,000 of the $30,200 prize pool. There were also 6,820 Global Series points up for grabs during the two-day licensed qualifier event.Β
The PGL FIFA 19 Masters Bucharest event was the last event amongst licensed qualifiers for FIFA 19 Global Series. These qualifying events began back in November of 2018 and produce competitors for the FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs. Those arrive in July, with the FIFA eWorld Cup set for August.
