Play Black Ops 4 Blackout For Free For A Week

Seeing huge releases becoming free to play for a limited amount of time is not a usual thing to occur. When it does though, it is indeed a treat. Luckily, this time it is Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout for free that is in discussion. Activision is doing a free week of the battle royale mode starting on January 17th. If you haven’t played it yet, you sure need to give it a try before the trial ends.

The original announcement reveals that you’ll be able to play Black Ops 4 Blackout for free, starting January 17th to 24th. You can do so on all platforms, so either you’re a PC gamer or prefer a Playstation 4 or Xbox One, you can opt in. After the limied time playthrough, you’ll have to buy the game in order to play though. This is not a download and keep offer. If you decide to do so, note that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has an alternate version you can get cheaper, including Blackout and the classic multiplayer. You don’t get Zombies but that’s the only small drawback. It costs $29.99 and is the closest you get to a cheap version of Black Ops 4 you can get.

Why would Activision announce such a move though? Perhaps this is just a kind gesture. Or it is an act to test the waters and see how many new players the game can acquire. Rumors want Blackout to be getting a free to play version at some point, although this seems like a long shot right now. Maybe if the playercount during the trial rises significantly, then this becomes a reality.
