PlayStation Store Will Soon No Longer Sell Driveclub Series

Are you considering purchasing the Driveclub series of PS4 exclusives from the PlayStation Store? If so, you will want to take action swiftly. Why? Because Sony is removing these games from the PlayStation Store today. That means that you’ll need to act immediately if you want to grab these games while they are still available.

Sony is Removing the Driveclub Series from the PlayStation Store

The Driveclub series of games consists of Driveclub, Driveclub VR and Driveclub Bikes along with their associated downloadable content. The servers for the series will be switched off soon, and Sony has thus decided to stop offering the series for sale through the PlayStation Store.

While Sony announced this back in March (so you may be aware of it already), it is worth putting out a reminder today. This is the very last day you’ll be able to pick up these games on the PlayStation Store. The servers for them will still be up through March 31st of next year. That means no more multiplayer mode, but the single player modes will continue to function.

Driveclub was notorious when it first launched because it was so buggy. But over time, the developers followed up on the issues. Today, the game is functional and satisfying, but many gamers have overlooked it because of its original faults.

So is it worth picking up? There is no discount, and the games’ value is reduced since the servers are going away. But the single player modes are still a lot of fun, and it became a solid set of games after the bugs were addressed. So if racing games are your thing, consider giving the series a go. Grab the series now, or miss out on your chance to get it through the PlayStation Store. And as always, keep following our PlayStation news.
