Rumor: PS4 Exclusive Dreams is Coming to PC

The PS4 exclusive Dreams is due for its full release at last on February 14th. Given that release date is only now just coming up, we have some surprising news. It seems that there is a possibility that the game will also be making its way to PC.

Why It Is Possible PS4 Exclusive Dreams Will Be On PC

The rumor comes by way of Eurogamer news editor Tom Philips, who tweeted the following:

He says, “Horizon will be followed by others down the road – you don’t need to Dream too hard to guess. But Xbox is already well-established launching games on PC at the same time, and eager to explore Switch…”

Horizon Zero Dawn PC Release Coming in 2020

As a reminder, there have been rumors lately that PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn will become available to play on PC. So, Philips seems to be hinting here that Dreams could be among future PS4 exclusives to potentially follow suit. He doesn’t blatantly say as much. But note how he has capitalized “Dream” in this sentence. Maybe it was just a careless capitalization error, but it seems significant.

So, does that mean that he knows something, or is he simply guessing? At this stage, it is impossible to say. Still, it seems like it is possible. Why not, with Sony’s attitudes changing with respect to how it handles its exclusives?

Regardless, Sony has stated that first party games remain a priority going into the PS5 generation. Also, Microsoft is committed to the same path with respect to the Xbox Series X. Still, not all first party games from Microsoft are necessarily going to be console exclusives. So, maybe that is also going to be the case with first party games on PS5.

We’ll probably be hearing more about Horizon Zero Dawn, Dreams, as well as the future of exclusive and first party games on all platforms soon. So, check back in with us in our PlayStation news section.
