A buyer named Jin Wu thought he’d try his luck searching for a PS5 for sale on the marketplace at Facebook. Surprisingly, this PS5 buyer got a great deal on a console. The reason? It turned out the seller was desperate to unload the console because of problems with his marriage. Let’s find out more.
How the PS5 Buyer Got a Great Deal
Concerned about the low price of the console, Wu asked the seller the reason for not asking more. The answer? The seller reportedly is married to a woman who does not approve of his gaming. The seller tried to convince his wife that the technology he had purchased was an air purifier, not a console. But as he told the buyer, “It turns out that women can tell the difference between a PS5 and an air filter.”
Needless to say, that is a funny statement, and it generated more than a few PS5 air purifier memes as a result. And the buyer got an awesome deal, so this story ended well for him. As to the seller and his wife, well, “achievement locked” on what sounds like a pretty unhealthy marriage.
So, if you have been hoping to get your hands on a secondhand PS5, it might be worth checking the Facebook marketplace. Most PS5s for sale right now are severely overpriced by the scalpers who bought them, but there are some exceptions. There are a lot of reasons why someone might sell their PS5 in a hurry, and not demand a ridiculous price for it. Maybe you’ll luck out and find another seller plagued by a demanding spouse. Their loss can be your gain.
