PS5 is Missing Some Quality of Life Features

The PlayStation 5 comes out next week. While we are all excited for its release, there are a few key quality of life features that the new console will be missing. Let’s go over what these missing features are so you know what to expect when you get your PlayStation 5 console.

PS5 is Missing These Quality of Life Features

First of all, there is not going to be a way you can move rapidly between games without having to reload everything. On Xbox Series X, you can move from one game to another and back at will without disruptions or lost progress.

Next, there is currently no way to expand the limited storage space that the PS5 comes with. This should not be a permanent problem. But we do not know how long we are going to need to wait for Sony to patch it.

Finally, there is the matter of themes and backgrounds. There have been a lot of questions surrounding this. And as recently as last month, there were rumors that there would be support for themes on PS5. But as of right now, there does not seem to be any indication that themes or backgrounds will be available on the PS5. We may all be stuck with the same identical user interface. Hopefully if this is the case, it too might be temporary. It seems like a strange feature to remove.

The PlayStation 5 releases on November 12th. There are two versions available. You can get the full version of the console for $499.99, or you can get the digital-only version of the console for$399.99. Follow our PlayStation news for more updates. We will let you know if there are further developments involving themes, expandable storage, and rapid switching from game to game on the PS5.
