Few things are more frustrating than booting up your PlayStation console and getting the message that you can’t sign into the PlayStation Network. Your mind races. You wonder whether PSN is down only for you or for everyone, and whether anyone is doing anything about it. But there is good news. Sony knows PSN is down, and is working on it right now.
Players have been posting online all over the place about not being able to get on PSN. Obviously, this is a big hassle. There is no way to make a purchase at the store or download something you have bought. You cannot play games that require you to be logged into PSN. It isn’t possible to connect with your friends either.
But if you take a look at the official Network Service Status page, you will see that it isn’t just you. So the problem is widespread, affecting numerous gamers and services, including:
- Account Management
- Gaming and Social
- PlayStation Now
- PlayStation Video
- PlayStation Vue
- PlayStation Store
- PlayStation Music
Sony has already posted a tweet about the issue, which you can view below.
The tweet reds, “We’re aware that some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN. Thank you for your patience as we investigate.”
But as big an annoyance as this is, this sort of thing does happen. We remember having issues logging into PSN just the other month. Sony fixed those problems fast then, and hopefully will have everything back up and running properly soon.

So what can you do in the meantime? There is no point in badgering Sony, unless you think you can provide them with new information that would help them solve the problem. Instead, you should probably just play some games which you do not need to be online to play.
But another idea is to catch up on everything which has been going on with E3. We have posted a ton of news for you to check out. Just navigate to our homepage to see the latest updates. So if you are looking for news about PlayStation or Sony, check our PlayStation news section. This also is not a bad time to snap up some discounts during Days of Play. If you stay busy, hopefully everything will be back on track before you know it.
