Realm Royale is officially coming to Nintendo Switch. According to a recent leak, a Realm Royale Switch is on the way. After rumors and other leaks, we now know that this is for sure happening but probably not in the way Hi-Rez Studios intended. While we don’t have a release date just yet, we do know it is coming very soon.
As noted by Nintendo Everything, an official Realm Royale Switch reveal trailer was dropped earlier than probably planned. The culprit? Nintendo itself. Well, Nintendo Portugal that is at least. The official Nintendo Portugal channel dropped the trailer early on YouTube, confirming the game’s release on Switch. Oddly enough, the trailer ends with “play now”.
Considering that Realm Royale Switch isn’t out just yet, it’s likely the trailer is actually going to drop next week or so. The trailer looks to be gone now from the YouTube channel since it certainly is too early. However, this version of the game is not surprising at all after other rumors. In addition, Hi-Rez Studios is being great about supporting the system.
Its two flagship titles, Paladins and Smite, are both already on the system. As such, it totally makes sense to make a Realm Royale Switch version. After all, Fortnite is massively popular on the hybrid console already. For those who don’t know, Realm Royale was originally a Paladins spin-off that is dedicated solely to Battle Royale.
However, it quickly became its own thing but it does have unique differences like classes that you can pick and so on. For the most part, though, the visual and overall gameplay style will be familiar to Switch Battle Royale fans of Fortnite and so on.
