Rockstar Games has finally let us know when we can play Red Dead Online. For everyone who owns the game, access to the online multiplayer mode will become available by the end of the week. For some, it will even happen as early as tomorrow or somewhere in between. As such, it has some players wondering about the Red Dead Online player count.
Exactly how many players can play together in a single online session? Is it roughly the same as GTA Online or more or even less? This allows players to plan ahead and know how many friends they can get together online. We are going to let you know how many players there are in a session. In addition, we are also going to go over how many players can be in a posse (or gang) together.
Red Dead Online Player Count Explained
Alongside the long-awaited Red Dead Online release date, Rockstar Games also let us know how many players are included. For a single session online, there can be up to 32 players playing together. That is a fair number of people for the size of the game world and its five states. That is certainly enough to cause some mayhem online.
In addition, though, you can form and join posses while playing online. These gangs of sorts are similar to the main gang featured in the singleplayer story. Supposedly, these posses will even be able to own their own camps. So what’s the Red Dead Online player count for posses?
Thankfully, you’ll be able to team up with up to seven other players for a total of eight. That’s a fair number and essentially allows for up to four different full posses in one session. It remains to be seen if you can do crazy stuff like compete for robberies and stuff so stay tuned.
