Similar to the Shark Cards in GTA Online, players are wondering if there is a way to purchase virtual money using real money.

Are There Red Dead Online Shark Cards?
The short answer to this complicated question is technically no. That’s right, there aren’t Shark Cards for Red Dead Online. However, that isn’t totally true… or at least, it will only be true for a bit longer. That’s because microtransactions are on the way for the online mode but Rockstar Games has yet to release them even though the mode is in beta right now.
We also don’t expect them to be called Red Dead Online Shark Cards like in GTA Online. We actually like the idea of something like bond cards or such to fit the time period. Regardless, it’s only a matter of time before you can purchase in-game currency with real money. This is because it’s already built into the game itself.
There are two forms of currency you can earn in Red Dead Online. The first is simple cash while the other is gold bars. Gold bars can be controversially used to purchase cosmetic items and other things that you wouldn’t normally get until much later in the game. You do earn gold bars over time but they will be also available for purchase with real money in the future.
