At long last, Red Dead Online will finally launch in earnest come tomorrow, November 27. Details about how expansive the initial beta launch will be remain largely unknown for the time being. However, several of the online component’s achievements have been uncovered, revealing how players can shape their online adventures. Below, we’ve listed all the currently known achievements for Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online Known Achievements
The following entries should by no means be considered a full list of Red Dead Online achievements. However, they do at least provide a comprehensive look at the features and functionality present in the online component.
- Breakout: Complete the intro mission.
- Gun for Hire: Play 10 free roam missions
- Series Major: Take part in a Series.
- Picked to Perfection: Pick 25 herbs.
- Master Craftsman: Craft 20 items (besides ammo)
- Butchered: Sell 20 items to the Butcher.
- Posse Up: Form a persistent posse.
- Strength in Numbers: Complete a free roam mission while in a posse of at least two members.
Even from this small list of achievements, a lot of information can be gleaned. Much like in Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode, online players can craft, hunt, fish, and pick herbs. We assume that along with persistent posses there will also be temporary posses for certain activities. We also don’t know what a ‘Series’ is yet, but we likely won’t have to wait long.
Rockstar’s launch date announcement for Red Dead Online also revealed other interesting details. Players can found their own camps, search for hidden treasure, participate in open-world challenges, and so much more. Leaked details also suggest that players can duel and race each other, and even purchase properties like houses.
If you purchased Red Dead Redemption 2’s Ultimate Edition you can start playing Red Dead Online as early as tomorrow. Standard Edition buyers will have to wait until a little later in the week to begin their online journeys.
