Train robberies are a fun and exciting way to make some quick money in Red Dead Redemption 2. However, pulling them off flawlessly isn’t exactly an easy endeavor what with the attention they tend to draw. Unless, of course, you happen to follow the strategy outlined in the below guide.
How to easily rob trains in Red Dead Redemption 2
Credit goes to Redditor countfenrir for figuring out the following Red Dead Redemption 2 train robbery trick. The trick itself is simple and straightforward, but it does require some specific setup in advance.
You start by purchasing a train ticket to the Briggs Station stop. Then, while the train is travelling, sneak on top of the train before it reaches the stop. After a few moments, the train will depart from Briggs Station and eventually cross over a long narrow bridge. Stop the train while it’s on the bridge and initiate the robbery. Doing so allows you to hold up the train’s passengers with virtual impunity since they are unable to escape. Not only that, but law enforcement can’t reach you either, making this a low-risk strategy as well.
Your mileage may vary depending on how many passengers there are to rob. Regardless, it’s a trick that can easily be used more than once, ensuring a guaranteed low-risk haul each time. Just remember to wear your bandana so that none of the passengers can later report you. Also, even if you don’t get much in actual cash, the trinkets passengers cough up can be sold at fences.
