It has now been over a full year since the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched on consoles on the 26th of October, 2018. However, for that full year, the game has only been available on the PS4 and Xbox One, not on the PC. Now, at last, the Red Dead Redemption 2 PC launch has arrived. However, while it boasts some very impressive graphical specs, some players are already reporting issues just getting into the game.
The Long-Awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Launch
Red Dead Redemption 2 launched to extremely high reviews in October of last year, with reviewers and the gaming audience at large praising its gameplay, storytelling, and setting, among other things. Now, PC gamers can finally experience the critically-acclaimed release for themselves. Or they could, if they don’t run into some sort of launch error. According to TechRadar, some players have been encountering an error which reads; “The Rockstar Games Launched exited unexpectedly,” when they attempt to load up the game. Although there is a Troubleshooting page for this error, it doesn’t necessarily seem to help.
For those who are able to get into the game, they can expect to find a much more visually stunning world than was available on consoles. (Provided they have the hardware to run the game’s higher-end graphics settings, of course!) Hopefully, Rockstar is able to address any technical issues quickly before it sours people’s experience with what could otherwise be an excellent game.
