Red Dead Redemption 2 Pelts: Where to Sell Pelts in RDR2

There are so many animals to hunt down in the game like cougars and bison in RDR2. Taking out these creatures, however, will leave you wondering where to sell pelts in Red Dead Redemption 2. The pelts are some of the precious rewards that you get from killing these creatures and they are typically worth quite a bit. Of course, you need to know where to sell them first.

Unfortunately, the answer to where to sell pelts in Red Dead Redemption 2 is pretty limited. You can’t just waltz over to a general store and sell those perfect pelts for cash. It doesn’t work going to a fence either as they are strictly for stolen and all other goods. Oddly enough, there is only one person that you can head to for selling these pelts.

The only person that will take these hard-earned pelts off your hands is the Trapper. The Trapper is a unique character that only sets up shop in a few remote locations around the map minus one. Those other spots are typically out of the way so they aren’t worth visiting. The main shop that the Trapper runs is where you want to go.

You can actually meet the Trapper fairly early on in the story. He is located in the major city of Saint Denis in the state of Lemoyne. He is found right by the word Denis on the world map in the middle of a market in the city. Be sure to not forget your perfect pelts when you approach him, of course.

You can always store your pelts on your horse in order to not lose them. This makes transferring them all the way to Saint Denis an easier task than having to carry them everywhere. Of course, the better the quality of your pelt, the more money the Trapper will give you.
