Despite having so many new changes and additions like the recent leaks of new modes and the latest patch notes, there is still a lot of changes that Apex Legends needs. One particular change that would help players is regarding the Apex Legends Ultimate abilities. One Reddit user has proposed an idea for a specific change regarding Ultimates and it is too brilliant not to share.
Reddit user Xatik to the official Apex Legends sub-Reddit to show off their Apex Legends Ultimate abilities change. The gist of it is making it so that the colors of Ultimates change depending on who is using it. For instance, if an enemy uses a specific Ultimate ability, it will be one color while teammates and yourself will have a different color.

This simple change clears up some annoying confusion regarding Apex Legends Ultimate abilities. The main example that Xatik gives is regarding Bangalore’s Ultimate. For those who don’t know, Bangalore can bring down numerous rockets in a nearby area that explode and damage enemies. The confusing part is that missiles look the same for your teammates and your opponents.
This author has run into this issue before where our teammate was Bangalore and we were fighting a Bangalore as well. When both players use the Ultimate, it can be hard to tell which missiles are friendly and which are not. However, Xatik’s idea for Apex Legends Ultimate abilities would alleviate that. Enemy missiles could be orange while teammates could be blue or another color.
This would also work for other Apex Legends Ultimate abilities, too. For instance, an enemy Wraith’s portal could be a different color to indicate that passing through the portal could open up a nice surprise attack. This could even work with Lifeline’s supply drop Ultimate, Mirage’s decoys, and so on. Here’s hoping that Respawn sees this.
