Get ready for more VR goodness because Beat Saber finally has a release date for PSVR (via the PlayStation Blog). Beat Saber is set to come to PlayStation VR on November 20th.
Guitar Hero with Lightsabers
For those that don’t know what Beat Saber is, here’s what the PlayStation Blog had to say:
“Your goal is to slash the beats, represented by small cubes, as they are coming to you. Every beat indicates which saber you need to use and the direction you need to match. This immersive rhythm experience is embodied in an appealing futuristic world filled with light and mist. And of course, accompanied by exclusively made electronic dance music and tons of levels made entirely made by hand.”
PSVR Exclusives and Other Modes
In addition to the base game, Beat Saber will have features exclusive to the PSVR release. Among the exclusives are a campaign mode, new songs, modifiers, new sabers, and a practice mode.
On top of that, there will be a variety of modes to try out. The new modes are a party mode, one saber mode, no arrow mode, and global leaderboards.
If that’s not enough news, a new expansion pass will come out shortly after launch. The pass includes ten new songs that feature different genres and artists that are well known and indie.
Beat Saber was announced for PSVR back at E3 alongside other VR games such as Tetris Effect. Alongside Beat Saber this month, Tetris Effect comes out tomorrow. Both games offer VR experiences worth checking out. It’s safe to say November is a good month to own a PlayStation VR headset.
