Respawn Announces New Apex Legends Champion Edition

Ahead of the upcoming launch of Apex Legends Season 7, Respawn has announced a major new edition of the game; the Apex Legends Champion Edition. Quite different from previous retail editions of the game, the Champion Edition is packed full of content from the game’s first seven seasons, giving new players a way to get caught up.

The Apex Legends Champion Edition

When it becomes available at the start of Season 7, the Apex Legends Champion Edition will feature all of the new Legends which have arrived post-launch since Season 7 unlocked automatically. According to Respawn, it will also include over $100-worth of exclusive cosmetics. These include new Legendary skins and a Legendary Gun Charm. Plus, players will get 1,000 Apex Coins to help them get started. Typically, retail editions of Apex Legends in the past have included 3-4 exclusive cosmetics and 1,000 Apex Coins. Evidently, the Champion Edition is significantly larger.

Another change from past editions is that the Champion Edition won’t be retail-exclusive. The game will be available to buy from retailers, but will also be available to download online, for Xbox One, PS4, and Origin for PC. The Apex Legends Champion Edition will cost $39.99 in total. The exact contents of the upcoming edition are as follows:

Apex Legends Champion Edition Coming Soon
  • 9 Unlocked Legends: Caustic, Crypto, Loba, Mirage, Octane, Rampart, Revenant, Wattson, plus the upcoming Season 7 Legend.
  • Exclusive Legendary Items:
    • “Curse of the Awaken” Triple Take skin
    • “Emperor Nessy XIV” Gun Charm
    • “Hallowed Spirit” Crypto skin
    • “Forged Knight” Revenant skin
    • “Jaded Myth” Sentinel skin
    • “Risen Queen” Wraith skin
    • “Slayer’s Lancer” Flatline skin
  • 1,000 Apex Coins

Respawn have yet to announce an exact release date for either Apex Legends Season 7 or the Champion Edition. However, given how long Season 6 has been ongoing, it’s entirely possible to be later this month, or possibly early November. For now, fans will have to wait and see.
