Riot Games has officially confirmed the end date of the Valorant Act 2 Battlepass, which is currently live in-game. However, rather than revealing an end which is coming soon, the studio has revealed that players have just over one month to complete the Battlepass and earn all the rewards they want.
One Month Left for the Valorant Act 2 Battlepass
Valorant Act 2 launched roughly one month ago, bringing the new Agent Killjoy to the game, among other things. The launch also coincided with Patch 1.05, which has since been followed by patches 1.06 and 1.07 in the last few weeks. The latter in particular has been especially noteworthy, introducing major weapon updates and Agent changes, for example. Given that Act II has now been live for roughly one month, it wouldn’t have been surprising for Riot to announce that the end was coming soon. However, that is not the case.
Instead, the Valorant Act 2 Battlepass will officially end on the 13th of October, in just over one month’s time. The end of the Battlepass will result in some downtime in-game, beginning at 06:00 AM PDT / 8:00 PM CEST. Some fans questioned why the end date was being announced so far in advance after Riot’s social media post. However, Riot simply states that; “We want to make sure you earn all the rewards you had your eye on!” Riot hasn’t addressed any such criticisms publicly, but it’s possible that fans criticised Act I if, perhaps, they felt that the ending wasn’t announced with adequate time left. That may explain today’s announcement, though it could also be unrelated.
Whatever the case, Valorant players still have plenty of time to grind through the Act 2 Battlepass. As such, players shouldn’t feel compelled to rush; there’s still more than a month left before the end. It’s currently unknown what new content Riot might bring to the game as part of Act 3. However, given their track record thus far, a new Agent seems like a good bet.
