Rumor: Demon’s Souls to Release Alongside PS5 in 2020

How long will we have to wait for the remake of Demon’s Souls? Maybe not that long at all, going by recent rumors. It is possible that Demon’s Souls might be coming out this year. To be specific, some expect Demon’s Souls to release alongside PS5 this holiday season. Let’s take a look at these recent rumors.

Will Demon’s Souls Release Alongside PS5?

Gematsu tweeted:

The tweet includes a screenshot with the explanation, “Missed this last week, but Demon’s Souls was rated in Korea on August 13.”

They went on to say, “Should be noted that the only other PS5 title rated in Korea so far is Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is due out this holiday.”

They continued, “Here is a fun little note on Sony Interactive Entertainment titles rated in Korea that lends more credence to the possibility of Demon’s Souls being a PS5 launch / launch window title:”

The image in the tweet includes some information about past rating and release dates for games such as Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding and Days Gone.

Indeed, going by the gaps between the rating dates and release dates, it does seem plausible that the August rating date could line up with a release date sometime in, say, November. That is around when we expect the PlayStation 5 to be available.

Remember, none of this is an official confirmation that Demon’s Souls will release with the PS5. But it does seem logical, and a title of that importance would probably give PS5 sales a boost at launch.
