Been wondering when the next State of Play event will take place from Sony? According to a recent rumor, there might be a PlayStation State of Play scheduled for January 2021. Where does this rumor come from, and is it likely to be true? Let’s check out the details.
Is a PlayStation State of Play Scheduled for January 2021?
The rumor about the PlayStation State of Play event comes from Dusk Golem on Twitter, who made the following tweet.
The tweet was a reply to a question from another user who asked, “When the heck are we going to get our next RE Village update?” The reply says, “To give a semi-serious answer, Sony has some event planned for the start of the year for January/February, I won’t be surprised if Capcom either did something themselves in January or took part of that due to Sony marketing.”
Technically, this rumor does not reference any one particular format of event. But aside from a State of Play, it is hard to imagine what it might be. What about the source of the rumor? Dusk Golem’s track record is mixed. So, it is possible that this is an accurate rumor, but it is also entirely possible it isn’t. Plus, without official confirmation from Sony, there is no reason to take any rumor 100% seriously.
