Red Gaming Tech originated this rumor, saying that a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid will come to PlayStation 5 as an exclusive. Additionally, there might also be remastered versions of Gear Solid II: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid III: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of Patriots. As for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, there is no need to remaster it since it is going to be backwards compatible.
If all of this is true, it would be a great way not only to allow fans of the classic games to dive back in, but also to introduce a new generation of gamers to the series who may have missed out on some of the older titles. But is the rumor true? Maybe, maybe not. Red Gaming Tech did not reveal whom they were speaking to, so we don’t know if they had quality sources or not.
