There have been a lot of leaks regarding Overwatch‘s new heroes, their abilities, and new changes every now and then. But this time, we are talking about a whole new game. Yes, you got that right! New leaks have appeared on Twitter regarding the announcement of Overwatch 2 by Activision Blizzard. Before we get into the actual leaks though, I would suggest taking everything with a grain of salt as there is nothing officially confirmed on these leaks.
Overwatch 2 Getting Announced?
A Twitter user named Metro has been leaking Overwatch 2 information recently. If you don’t know, it’s the same user who leaked the new Hero – Ashe – before she was officially revealed by Blizzard. So, we could say that this user has some kind of credibility (but still, nothing is confirmed).
So, according to Metro, Overwatch 2 has been developed and is getting announced at the BlizzCon (a yearly event about Blizzard Games) after a short Cinematic. Below, you can see some of the tweets from this user on Twitter:
“Overwatch 2 is very much real and will be announced at Blizzcon after the short cinematic. Overwatch 2 will be PvE AND PvP. The cinematic will feature a lot of heroes, main ones being Mei, Tracer, and Winston with young Genji appearing. Overwatch logo will appear, then the 2 is going to be added at the very end. The crowd goes wild, Jeff gets on stage. (don’t actually know about when Jeff will show up).”
So, there we have it. It’s been 3 years since Overwatch 1 was released and now, it’s pretty much obvious that Overwatch 2 will be hitting consoles and PC sooner or later. But as said, don’t take everything mentioned in this article officially. This could be a false leak (or could be a legit one), we don’t know that yet. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
