More and more Jump Force characters are being revealed, and this time it’s Saint Seiya. Or should we say: Pegasus Seiya. Unlike characters like Goku, Naruto, and Luffy, Pegasus Seiya may not be as well known to fans. This may be due to a number of reasons, but we suspect that it’s mostly because it was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1986 to 1990 – a rather long time ago for some gamers out there.
Nonetheless, the reveal of Saint Seiya joining the fray did look pretty damn cool. The news originally came from Bandai Namco’s official Twitter, which showed off the trailer for Pegasus Seiya. Watch how sparks fly, collide and mesmerize in the trailer below.

But what is Saint Seiya?
For those who are unfamiliar with the series, Pegasus Seiya’s reveal won’t seem like much of a big deal. Hence why we’re more than happy to give you a brief lesson. As we’ve mentioned, the manga was introduced in 1986 and lasted till 1990, where it introduced a group of young warriors known as ‘Saints’. No, despite their outfits, they weren’t guardian angels.
Instead, the Saints possessed a special ‘cloth’ each, guarded by a different star constellation. Pegasus Seiya was the main character of the Saints, who was tasked with guarding a reincarnation of the goddess Athena. Their goal was simple: to protect the Earth.
However, Pegasus Seiya wasn’t the only thing that was revealed in this trailer. As we know from previous trailers, real life and anime will most definitely combine in this game. Back in Yugi Muto’s gameplay trailer, we saw the Golden Gate Bridge and the Hokage mountain from Naruto. In the E3 trailer witnessed New York and One Piece. This time we have a new location set in Mexico inspired by Mayan culture, though we have yet to see if anything else has been added to it.
Jump Force will be releasing sometime in February 2019 for Xbox, PS4, and PC.
