Games tend to stay free through Xbox Game Pass for a while before they rotate out. But when they do rotate out, it can be sudden. Microsoft just announced that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is leaving Xbox Game Pass in the near future. Also, four other games are going with it.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Plus These Four Games Soon Will Be Unavailable on Xbox Game Pass
Here are all five games which will be leaving Xbox Game Pass:
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider
- Rage
- Pumped BMX Pro
- The Jackbox Party Pack 2
- Disney Epic Mickey 2: the Power of Two
There is no indication of the exact date that these games will become unavailable. But, as they are now listed under “leaving soon,” it seems likely that they will be gone within two weeks—and that is at the outside. Nobody seems to be sure when Microsoft moved them to that “leaving soon” area, thus nobody is sure how long they will still be around.
So, you don’t have time to really get invested in these games, but you do probably still at least have time to check them out and decide if they’re worth purchasing.
Xbox Game Pass is an awesome deal at just $10 a month. In fact, this has led many gamers to question how long Microsoft can possibly keep the service around. But you will be glad to know that Phil Spencer himself has said that the service model is sustainable. Thus, you can expect Xbox Game Pass to be around for a long time. So, if you don’t have a membership yet, you might want to invest in one so that you can take advantage of a huge video game library at your fingertips.
