The fan-favourite eccentric, Sir Cadwell of Codswallop, is returning to The Elder Scrolls: Online in the new Elsweyr DLC, which launched earlier today! A key character in the base game’s main quest, Cadwell is a madman from Coldharbour. In many ways, the character is an homage to Don Quixote; he believes himself to be a noble knight, though his armour is made from discarded kitchen implements.
Sir Cadwell in the New Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC
Sir Cadwell of Codswallop is one of the first characters whom players meet at the start of The Elder Scrolls: Online, inside The Wailing Prison. Afterwards, he becomes a recurring character throughout the main quest, as well as during the invasion quests in Coldharbour. At the end of the main quest, he became a servant of the Daedric lord Meridia. However, it seems that the popular character, who is voiced by comedian and actor John Cleese, is returning in the new Elsweyr DLC.

Cadwell is encountered during the Elsweyr main quest, in which he plays a significant role. He is first met at an old grave, after Abnur Tharn dispatches players to investigate several sites; sites which he suspects that Cadwell may have visited. According to the old Soul Shriven, he was led to the region by a series of portals.
Cadwell is, of course, just one of the many new and/or returning characters in The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr DLC. As the third major Chapter DLC for the MMORPG, Elsweyr has a huge cast of characters spread across the vast new region. The DLC’s biggest villain is the dragon Kaalgrontiid; the second main villain in the Elder Scrolls series to be a dragon. (The first being Alduin, of course, from the Skyrim main quest.) Some new characters are even members of the unusual Khajiit subspecies, including those which resemble house-cats.
