Snoop Dogg’s Gangsta Gaming League To Debut With Madden 19 Tournament Online Thursday Night

The Madden 19 football game is about to reach a new “high” on Thursday night. That’s because hip-hop star Snoop Dogg will debut his brand new eSports series, the Gangsta Gaming League. It won’t just feature the popular football video game, but also appears as if it will feature Snoop’s favorite herbal remedy. Here are more details on what will take place and how to watch the historic debut.

Gangsta Gaming League to start off with Madden 19

Snoop Dogg is unveiling his new eSports league which he founded alongside Merry Jane. To kick things off, the Gangsta Gaming League (GGL) will feature a Madden 19 tournament. This won’t be like the Madden Classic, though. It features just eight of Snoop’s “closest gaming friends” are going to partake in the inaugural competition.

Competing in the Madden tournament are JC, Lala, Loc, Red Grant, Red Woods, Shelton, Tripo Loc, Waniac, and Young Sagg. The winning gamer will walk off with a prize of $11,000 in cash. The winner also gets a chance to increase their winnings by defeating Snoop. Most likely, Snoop is looking to expand the GGL with more games and higher prizes in the future.

Speaking of “high,” one should know that this league will absolutely involve cannabis. The Gangsta Gaming League mentioned before that they “will most definitely allow the use of cannabis.” It should be interesting to see how often it’s used and how much munchies are made available to hungry competitors.

Snoop has a history of involvement in other video games. It was mostly for voice roles as himself in four different games since 2003. He also voiced Crow in the classic “Def Jam: Fight for NY” in 2004. Other games starring Snoop included “True Crime: Streets of LA,” “Tekken Tag Tournament 2,” and “Call of Duty: Ghosts.” In addition, the “Who Am I (What’s My Name)” rapper loves playing Madden Ultimate Team as shown by his social media.

Gangsta Gaming League: How to watch live online

Snoop’s Gangsta Gaming League will officially debut beginning at 5 p.m. Pacific Time (8 p.m. ET) on Thursday (Mar. 14). The debut will feature Snoop Dogg hosting the event from his Los Angeles compound, per Merry Jane.

Viewers can watch the Madden 19 tournament as it happens with Snoop and his friend’s. It will be streaming through multiple platforms on Thursday night. These include the Merry Jane Facebook as well as Snoop’s Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer channels.

The Madden 19 game certainly seems like a good choice to start with based on its popularity amongst celebrities, athletes, and gamers. It should be interesting to see who emerges as the winner in Snoop’s Madden Ultimate Team tournament and which other games are part of GGL after Madden.
